Spoon Carving Workshops - Carve Your Own Spoon - Sunday 1st February 2026

Join me at Dinas Powys Library & Activity Centre to learn how to safely carve a spoon from a wood blank using a hook knife and a straight knife. We will consider the importance of grain alignment, learn a range of knife grips and discuss where to source suitable tools and materials. It will be a relaxed session and the course is suitable for complete beginners. You will leave with a finished spoon and the initial skills needed to continue your spoon carving journey at home at your own pace. A minimum of 4 people are required for each workshop to go ahead. Maximum group size is 8. This course is suitable for ages 16+ only. If you need to cancel your chosen workshop I will rearrange your booking for another date. More workshops will be available later in the year.
